The mission of Domestic Kindness is to equip churches to be part of the solution to domestic brokenness.
The vision of Domestic Kindness is to see every Christian educated about coercive control and equipped to help those suffering.
The specific objectives and purposes of Domestic Kindness are:
Domestic Kindness is creating a variety of small group Bible studies that focus on godly character while shining God's light onto the darkness of coercive control.
There are two goals we hope to accomplish through these studies:
1. Exhort kindness in the home.
2. Equip participants with information that will enable them to help those suffering domestic brokenness.
All types of small groups will be encouraged to go through an 8-week study. These studies will be appropriate for all groups, including couples, men, women, singles, youth, Sunday groups, and life groups.
The Domestic Kindness Resource Team is the group (made up of church members) at each church that facilitates the Domestic Kindness ministries of relationship education and referrals.
The Resource Team encourages godly relationships by providing Bible studies for small groups and study groups. They offer references and leaders' training material for church leaders about domestic abuse and a biblical response to it.
The Resource Team is also equipped to refer coercive control victims to resources (support groups, counselors, shelters, books, etc.) that will be helpful for both victims and repentant abusers.
